An Orientation on Resiliency Features was conducted by Cebu Caritas, Inc. through the RCAC Relief and Rehabilitation Unit for candidate-beneficiaries of Balay Caritas: Puy-anan sa Gugma ug Paglaum in Brgy. Granada-Lower Beceril, Boljoon Cebu last July 15, 2022. Shelter Officer Reymond Dajuya and Finance Officer Maricel Seno facilitated the activity.
The orientation highlighted the 8 Build Back Better Key Messages; namely,
1) Build on Strong Foundation;
2) Tie down from bottom up;
3) Brace against the storm;
4) Use strong joints;
5) A good house needs a good roof;
6) Site your house safely;
7) A simple shape will keep you safe;
and,
8.) Be prepared.
Presentation of shelter plan, Shelter turnover checklist, Guidance on sweat equity, and Shelter Contracts and Requirements were also discussed.
There were 92 participants including 10 local artisans.
