The Archdiocesan Shrine of St. Arnold Janssen in Alumnus, Basak-San Nicolas, Cebu City recently launched its Parish Caritas. Cebu Caritas Program Director Fr. Alden John Baran led the blessing of the Parish Caritas Office and Rite of Commissioning of Parish Caritas Volunteers.
After the mass, Mrs. Virginia Lee shared the strategic plan for the various humanitarian, developmental and justice & peace programs.
A manifesto signing for SAJP Caritas was also done by the diifferent partner-collaborators for clearer direction and to continue to acquire, strengthen and develop effective service based on the parish caritas center’s capacity.
Fr. Andres Guban, Parish Priest, welcomed the support of the parishioners in the establishment of the SAJP Parish Caritas.
Cebu Caritas Inc. is the mandated social action arm of the Archdiocese of Cebu. It serves the Anawim through its Humanitarian, Developmental, and Justice and Peace programs.
