Cebu Archbishop Jose S. Palma blessed the newly renovated chapel of the Our Lady of Fatima in Brgy. Tal-ot, Barili, Cebu. The chapel, located within the Cebu Caritas demo farm, was badly damaged by typhoon Odette. A major renovation was made possible through our benefactors, including the Tanging Yaman Foundation, Mr. & Mrs. Raul Monsanto with Engr. Jobert Caballero.
Before the Holy Mass celebrated by Archbishop Palma, a medical mission was conducted at the Tal-ot barangay hall. Volunteer doctors led by Cebu Caritas trustees Dr. Jesus Ravanes and Dr. Greta Canoy offered free consultations and conducted minor surgeries on 14 patients. More than 100 individuals availed of the medical services and medicines.
Other activities included a catechism session with the farmers’ children and distribution of bags of love to senior citizens.
