CARITAS VILLAGE | On May 30, 2022, Cebu Caritas Boljoon Project Team met with the Department Heads of the Municipality of Boljoon to discuss ways forward for the establishment of Caritas Village in Brgy. Lower Beceril, Boljoon, Cebu.
Fr. Alden John Baran, Project Director, presented a report including Cebu Caritas’ expectations from LGU Boljoon. Fr. Charles Jayme, RRU Head, also added some details of the shelter project. Hon. Merlou Derama, Mayor of Boljoon, instructed the department heads to fast-track all the necessary documents needed for the implementation of the project.
Also present during the meeting were: Mr. Bienvenido Tan, Project Coordinator; Maricel Seno, Finance Officer and Reymond Dayuja, Shelter Officer.
Last April 24, 2022, a Tripartite Agreement was signed among the Archdiocese of Cebu, Caritas Philippines and Municipality of Boljoon for the shelter project.
Cebu Caritas Inc. is the mandated social action arm of the Archdiocese of Cebu. It serves the Anawim through its Humanitarian, Developmental, and Justice and Peace programs.
