Some 110 participants from the six barangays belonging to the St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish in Kawit, Medeliin, Cebu joined the Parish Caritas Orientation held last August 20, 2022.
Cebu Caritas Program Director Fr. Alden John Baran gave a brief overview of social action work and facilitated the Focus Group Discussion. Cebu Caritas Communications Head Atty. Maria Jane Paredes discussed Cebu Caritas’ organizational structure and processed the FGD results. Cebu Caritas Digital Media Volunteer Ggie Hermunda presented the various social media platforms through which the public can be updated on the various programs and services of Cebu Caritas.
Fr. Socrates Cabanig, parish priest, thanked Cebu Caritas for its support. He also appreciated the cooperation of the barangay captains for sending their purok leaders to the orientation.
Cebu Caritas Inc. is the mandated social action arm of the Archdiocese of Cebu. It serves the Anawim through its Humanitarian, Developmental, and Justice and Peace programs.
