Some 500 individuals from different sectors including children, PWDs, and senior citizens availed of the “Pasalamat sa Gasa sa Pagka-Obispo ni Bishop-elect Ruben Labajo”, a feeding activity. This marked the first public appearance of newly-minted Auxiliary Bishop of Cebu Ruben C. Labajo.
The activity, held at the Archdiocesan Shrine of San Nicolas de Tolentino in San Nicolas, Cebu City last August 18, 2022, was organized by Cebu Caritas, Inc. as part of the Archbishop Teofilo B. Camomot Buhat sa Kalooy program. Through this activity, the Anawim were able to join in the celebration of Bishop Labajo’s episcopacy.
Cebu Caritas Community Organizer Kendrick Miñoza gave a short catechesis on the office of bishop in the life of the Church.
Present in the event were Cebu Caritas Staff headed by Fr. Alex Cola, Jr., Fr. Mhar Vincent Balili and San Nicolas Parish Caritas Volunteers.
