The Parish Caritas of the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Minglanilla, Cebu was officially launched last February 14, 2023 with a Eucharistic Celebration and the blessing of its office.
500 families in Minglanilla received bags of love containing rice. Packed lunches and bottled water were also distributed to them after the Mass presided by Fr. Loreto Jumao-as, Parish Caritas priest in-charge, with co-celebrants Fr. Joy Danao, team moderator, and members Msgr. Marnell Mejia, Fr. Roy Bucag, and Fr. Eric Jecong.
Cebu Caritas trustees (ret.) Justice Gabby Ingles and lawyers Fe Ortiz and Maria Jane C. Paredes were also present.
Cebu Caritas Inc. is the mandated social action arm of the Archdiocese of Cebu. It serves the Anawim through its Humanitarian, Developmental, and Justice and Peace programs.
